The fastest portable business scanners on the market* - Epson Press

The fastest portable business scanners on the market*

Epson announces
two new portable business scanners with the fastest speeds on the market1. The WorkForce DS-310 and DS-360W make it easy to manage documents quickly and effectively while on the move. With one of the lightest and smallest designs in their class, they are ideal for carrying in a bag or placing in a drawer, allowing mobile workers to simply and quickly digitise paperwork both inside and outside of the office with ease. The additional embedded battery and wireless connectivity on the DS-360W make it a truly portable scanning experience without cables.

Steve King, product manager, Epson Europe, says: “It’s easy to scan wherever you are with these fastest portable business scanners on the market1 at 25ppm1, in both double and single-sided, and at 300dpi in both colour and monochrome. They’re made even more efficient with Super Speed USB 3.0 connectivity and a 20-page document feeder. The built-in battery, wireless connectivity and on-the-go charging via USB allow you to scan anywhere.”

Excellent media versatility

Both models are capable of scanning a wide range of media, including envelopes, and can scan cards and paper between 52-230gsm. They are ideal wherever there is a need to scan and capture paper documents such as business cards or signed forms.

Wireless connectivity on the DS-360W

Scan documents easily to mobiles and tablets with wireless connectivity for a cable-free experience. Plus the battery and ability to charge the device on the go make it ideal for staff outside the office. And when teamed with the free download of Epson’s Document Capture Pro software, it can be seamlessly integrated into businesses’ workflow via most common Document Management Systems. In combination with Document Capture Pro, the DS-360W offers many ‘scan-to’ functions, including scan-to-cloud, scan-to-email and scan-to-SharePoint alongside many other document imaging features such as barcode recognition and zonal OCR-A / B support.

The WorkForce DS-360W and DS-310 are available from January 2017.
