Epson UK appoints Claire Robinson as Head of Business Sales

Epson, a global leader in printing, visual communications and manufacturing, has appointed Claire Robinson as Head of Business Sales for the UK. The appointment is part of the company’s global growth strategy and follows a €50 million investment to increase sales in Europe.

Robinson brings a unique mix of experience from across the entire IT channel, and assumes responsibility for driving sales growth. She will manage Epson’s visual instruments and business imaging sales teams across the SMB, retail, healthcare and education sectors, and enhance the company’s vertical sector targeting strategies.

She will be tasked with implementing more intelligent business and end user solutions. This includes Epson’s business ink jet range of printers and the recently launched Print365 – a hassle-free, fully-serviced printing package with simple low, fixed fees.

“Epson is well positioned in the UK following more than €50 million investment to fuel growth for our innovative product offerings across Europe,” says Robinson.

“Our visual instruments suite is genuinely market leading, offering great solutions for end users across all sectors. Meanwhile business inkjet printing will continue be a core growth area, especially as IDC forecast the business inkjet market represents a €38 billion opportunity in Europe. Business inkjets have moved on from where they used to be and now, there are so many financial and environmental benefits to be drawn from opting for inkjet over laser. Business solutions such as our recently launched fully-serviced print package, Print365, create even more opportunities for growth,” she added.

Robinson assumes the role following six years of success at Epson. She joined in 2010 as a corporate end user sales manager, driving sales in the visual instrument sector. In 2012 she oversaw the successful launch of the WorkForce Pro printer series across the UK, and set up a new team to drive growth in the installation projector market. She has unique experience across the entire channel, making her well-equipped for the breadth of knowledge the role demands.
