Affordable projectors boast higher-end features
13th September 2011 - Epson, worldwide leader in the video projector market , helps businesses’ and schools’ budgets go further with its affordable projector range that is packed with features usually only found on more expensive models.
The EB-X11 and EB-S11 are aimed at education users, while the EB-X14, EB-X12 and EB-W12 with HDMI input are ideal for business use. All offer user-friendly functions and a high-quality picture.
The projectors are straightforward to set up and use, allowing business and education users alike to focus on presenting. With Epson’s 3-in-1 USB Display feature, one cable is all that’s needed for visuals, audio and page up/down control – it’s the fastest way to display what’s on a PC or Mac. Alternatively, using the PC-free feature, users can present still photos directly from a USB stick. Aligning the picture is quick and easy using the vertical and horizontal keystone adjustment, with selected models featuring a horizontal keystone slider.
Graeme Davidson, category manager - AV at Epson UK, says: “User experience is very important to Epson. That’s why we developed our new horizontal keystone slider – a simple and intuitive way to control the shape of the projection. Even when the projector is at an angle to the screen, it takes just seconds to correct the picture alignment thanks to the slider. User-friendly features like this offer Epson customers more for their money, as it is very rare for a projector in this price range to have both vertical and horizontal keystone correction.”
All of the projectors feature a direct connection to the Epson ELP-DC06 USB Visualiser. The ELP-DC06 allows documents and objects to be shared via the projector, saving users time by eliminating the need to photocopy, photograph or scan materials. It is also particularly useful for education users wanting to show science experiments close-up.
Epson’s 3LCD technology delivers natural, accurate colour reproduction and an equally high White and Colour Light Output of up to 3,000 lumens. Combined with the 3,000:1 contrast ratio producing sharp detail, the result is a bright, high-quality picture.
Finally, a long lamp life of up to 5,000 hours in eco mode helps cut maintenance time and keeps running costs low.
The EB-X12 and EB-X14 will be available to purchase from 1 September 2011. The EB-W12 will be available from 1 October 2011. The EB-S11 and EB-X11 will be available from 1 November 2011. Prices start from £329 inc.VAT.
