Epson’s earlier research unveiled some surprising truths about the concerns and anticipation surrounding technological disruption in the workplace. It found that 85% of employees surveyed across Europe fully expected new technologies to disrupt their workplace, increasing to 90% in the corporate sector. From this, it’s apparent that employers need a clearer strategy to adapt to these changes; although 65% of respondents would most likely retrain for a role that wasn’t threatened, only 47% felt that their employer would be good at repurposing potentially redundant employees [1].
