COLOURFUL PERSONALISED GUEST BADGE PRINTER BRIGHTENS VISITOR EXPERIENCE
Epson has launched a colourful and compact visitor label printer designed for reception desks and visitor areas. The ColorWorks C3500 digital badge printer works seamlessly with an organisation’s visitor document management software to help meet GDPR 1 requirements for a more secure, compliant and personalised visitor experience.
As visitor reception books are removed 2following the implementation of GDPR, many organisations are replacing existing visitor management arrangements with more secure digital solutions. Epson’s ColorWorks digital guest label printer is designed to operate with visitor document management software to deliver a more secure, colourful and welcoming visitor experience at point of reception.
Epson’s compact C3500 ColorWorks visitor label printer produces fully customised and personalised guest badges offering improved visual identification such as guest photo, barcodes and company brand colours.
HEMA Machine and Apparatus Protection GmbH, which manufactures protection equipment for operating heavy machinery, is using Epson’s ColorWorks printer combined with Pri- dento VMS Advanced visitor management software to provide a more welcoming visitor experience at its offices near Seligenstadt in Bavaria, Germany.
HEMA receives many visitors a day and needed to introduce an efficient, secure and more personalised visitor management solution. Now, with the introduction of Epson’s ColorWorks digital printer, its badges and visitor documentation can be prepared in advance to speed up the reception process. The visitor registration software also connects to a camera which means each visitor badge is personalized with a photo of the visitor. For additional security, the new visitor registration software includes facial recognition to identify visitors and print personalised badges with barcodes.
Nico Hechmann, Head of Systems at HEMA explains: “Our visitors at reception are greeted with colourful personalised ID badges, produced in advance, which includes our company logo, visitor photo and a barcode with the correct level of access for each visitor.
“We are very pleased with our new visitor management solution and Epson’s ColorWorks digital badge printer which we have only recently implemented. It has been very quick to introduce, simple to use, is secure and saves considerable time for both our visitors and employees at reception.”
Jacob Kallergis, product manager – colour label printers, commented: “Epson is working with a number of developers specialising in visitor management software to enhance the visitor experience at point of reception. It’s widely acknowledged that visitor reception books represent serious risks to organisations 3and as tighter controls on privacy and data management come into force with GDPR, companies are looking to replace their procedures but at the same time ensure their visitor experience is positive, professional and welcoming.
“Epson’s ColorWorks printer can sit on the reception desk, is easy to use and, when combined with visitor management software and linked to a device such as a tablet, can capture relevant guest information securely while printing colourful and professional guest badges that include high resolution photos of guests, company logos and barcodes.”
